The FDA Doesn’t Care About Health Apps, So the Courts Stepped Up

The FDA Doesn’t Care About Health Apps, So the Courts Stepped Up | collaboration | Scoop.it
Last week, the New York Attorney General's office settled lawsuits forcing three app developers to stop promising health-tech miracles.

These apps aren’t offering diagnoses, but they do give users an impression about their health. And for the most part, the FDA lets these apps run wild, not requiring them to go through any rigorous vetting process to ensure they are both safe and effective.

Legutóbb New Yorkban fizetett kisebb bírságot három cég félrevezető reklámok és adatkezelési hiányosságok miatt.

Curing Diseases by Gazing at the Heavens

Curing Diseases by Gazing at the Heavens | collaboration | Scoop.it

At Columbia University, Szabolcs Marka is conducting research he hopes will end malaria as we know it worldwide. He’s also got an eye on trying to cure Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. Not bad for someone who’s just 45 years old. By training, he’s an astrophysicist.
“He’s not afraid to go into areas he doesn’t already fully understand, which gives him an outsider’s perspective and license to ask naive — but revealing — questions.”

A kutató, aki mindezekkel foglalkozik!
